Terms of use
By downloading or using Docket you agree to these terms.
Licence
Docket is licensed to you for use on machines you own or control. You may audit any number of websites, including on behalf of clients.
Responsible use
Docket crawls websites. You are responsible for the sites you point it at. Its defaults are
deliberately gentle — requests are rate-limited, it honours robots.txt unless you
turn that off, and it backs off when a server signals it is being asked for too much. Please do
not raise those limits on sites you do not own or have permission to crawl.
No warranty
Docket is provided as is. It reports what it can observe in the HTML and HTTP responses a site returns. It cannot guarantee rankings, traffic or any commercial outcome, and its findings are advice rather than a certification. Search engines change their behaviour without notice.
The scope page in every report lists what was and was not measured. Please read it before relying on an audit for a decision that matters.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of Docket, including lost traffic, revenue or rankings.
